Being an international student has allowed me to interact with many students from diverse backgrounds, enriching my understanding of various cultures. I admire Queen Mary’s varied range of societies, providing students with opportunities to contribute and actively enact meaningful changes. Pursuing a postgraduate degree in Global Public Health and Policy has connected me with peers who are fervent in advancing health equity. Among my fondest experiences is discovering a sense of belonging within the Islamic Society, where I've found a supportive community.

What's something you've done that you're proud of?

I take great pride in furthering my career by pursuing a master’s degree, accomplishing numerous personal goals, and becoming more resilient. Navigating through changes while maintaining balance can pose challenges for anyone, yet it's remarkable to witness how effortlessly I have immersed myself in a new study and living environment.

What is a problem facing students and how do you propose to fix it?

I am deeply committed to representing the interests and aspirations of our diverse student body at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. I aim to enhance the institute's online visibility and facilitate student networking initiatives. My vision for our institute is collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity.
