Online AGM
Considering the uncertainty around where and when students will be in the coming months, we shall be holding an online AGM - where any member paying subs can vote online during the voting period. There are only 3 positions available in this AGM, all other roles will be appointed via an application process after the AGM has been completed.
Dates
The dates have been staggered so students are able to run for both Editor-in-Chief and a Deputy Editor role if unsuccessful.

Nominations: 23rd March 12:00 – 27th March 12:00
Voting: 27th March 15:00 – 30th March 00:00
Elections for the Deputy Editors
Nominations: 31st March – 5th April 12:00
Voting: 5th April 15:00 – 9th April 12:00
Role Descriptions
Editor-in-Chief
Working with the Editors to set the direction of Circadian Magazine.
Work with the Deputy Editors to appoint additional Editors as they see fit to create and oversee coverage in specific topic areas.
Allocate responsibilities and duties to Editors and support them as they undertake their role.
Being responsible for the content of Circadian Magazine.
Working with QMSU Officers and Staff to ensure Circadian Magazine operates in accordance with the Students’ Union’s Articles of Association, bye-laws and policies and procedures and attending any relevant training.
Ensure funding is secured for any relevant activities and financial documents are kept up to date.
Organising fair and transparent elections for the following year’s committee in accordance with the Student Group bye-law and relevant affiliation procedure.
Ensuring a thorough handover of Circadian Magazine onto a new committee
Calling General Meetings of Circadian Magazine.
Deputy Editor (Input)
Supporting the Editor-in-Chief with their responsibilities.
Work with the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor (Output) to appoint additional Editors as they see fit to create and oversee coverage in specific topic areas.
Promote writing opportunities within Circadian Magazine and aim to recruit writers from as many different backgrounds as possible.
Coordinate the proofing process and ensure deadlines are well advertised.
Ensure all contributors have paid subs
Working with the Deputy Editor (Output) in undertaking the duties of the Editor-in-Chief in the event of the Editor-in-Chief’s resignation or removal.
Deputy Editor (Output)
Supporting the Editor-in-Chief with their responsibilities.
Work with the Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor (Input) to appoint additional Editors as they see fit to create and oversee coverage in specific topic areas.
Coordinate the formatting process and set clear guidelines for writers.
Release articles online and on social media in an engaging way.
Work with the Editor-in-Chief to secure funding and/or sponsorship for any relevant activities.
Working with the Deputy Editor (Input) in undertaking the duties of the Editor-in-Chief in the event of the Editor-in-Chief’s resignation or removal.
